The vaccine against Covid-19 may arrive in Mozambique in the coming weeks, according to the French Ambassador in Mozambique, David Izzo.
The French diplomat was speaking to journalists yesterday and explained that European countries are negotiating with the COVAX mechanism to make available the immunizer, stressing the importance of everyone being vaccinated, because this is a global pandemic.
According to the French ambassador, Europe’s effort to provide the vaccine to its population will be null and void if it does not reach other regions of the world, including Africa. “It is a commitment of the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel; the French President, Emmanuel Macron; and the presidency of the European Union,” Izzo said.
