The Mozambican defence minister said today that the responsibility for defending the integrity of the territory lay with Mozambicans, denying that the country had received South African land and air military support in the fight against terrorism.
“The aid can be in means, in intelligence, in the area of intelligence and other military areas. As long as it does not take away the contribution of the Mozambicans on the battlefield, because the responsibility for defending the integrity of the national territory is ours, it is of the Mozambicans”, said Jaime Neto.
The leader was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the information session on the state of the Nation of the Mozambican President, Filipe Nyusi, in parliament.
