The Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, affirmed that it is a priority of the government action to reinforce the allocation of resources of the State Budget (OE) to the local organs at all levels, thus reducing the concentration of public expenditure at central level institutions.
The minister stressed that the provincial decentralized governance underway in the country requires continuous improvement of the institutional as well as legal framework, in order to adjust it to the dynamics of each moment in the scope of the exercise of democracy.
He argued that the achievement of this objective presupposes to continue to deepen and consolidate the process of decentralization introduced with the constitutional revision resulting from the dialogue between the Government and Renamo to achieve definitive peace.
“We will continue to improve legislation regarding, among others, the definition of criteria for setting budget limits for provincial decentralized governance bodies; and regulation of the Law on the Financial and Patrimonial Regime Assured more resources for decentralized governance of the Provincial Decentralized Governance Bodies ”, stressed Do Rosário.
