Oil Production Records Increase of Over One Million Barrels in August

Angola produced 32,074,313 barrels of oil in August, representing an increase of 1,112,861 barrels compared to July of this year.

According to the National Agency for Oil, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), the average daily production last month was 1,034,655 barrels. Initially, the projected daily production for August was 1,086,727 barrels.

In August, Angola’s liftings totaled 31,908,355 barrels, corresponding to a daily average of 1,029,302 barrels, compared to the forecast of 962,903 barrels.

Distribution of Oil Liftings

The concessionaire carried out the lifting of 12,129,202 barrels (38% of the total), SNL UNEP lifted 4,078,493 barrels (13%), and SNL E.P lifted 1,757,230 barrels (6%).

Of the total liftings, 30,441,284 barrels were exported and 1,467,071 barrels were delivered to the Luanda Refinery.

Drilling and Well Activity in August

During August, 12 drilling units were active, with operations carried out on 26 wells: one exploration well, two injector development wells, 23 production development wells, eight suspended wells, and one abandoned well.

Associated Gas Production

Associated gas production reached 81,696,000 cubic feet, with a daily average of 2,635,000 cubic feet. Of this, 1,402,000 cubic feet were reinjected to maintain reservoir pressure, 962,000 cubic feet supplied to the ALNG plant, and 307,000 cubic feet used for power generation at oil facilities.

Angola LNG Output Exceeds Forecast

The Angola LNG plant produced 4,936,748 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), compared to 4,523,766 forecasted, representing a 9% increase. During the same period, the daily average was 159,250 BOE, including 136,486 LNG, 9,885 propane, 7,444 butane, and 5,435 condensates.

LPG Production

According to ANPG, LPG production totaled 399,414 barrels, averaging 12,884 barrels per day, divided into 7,487 barrels of propane, 5,027 barrels of butane, and 371 barrels of onshore LPG.
