The province of Namibe recorded sales of 41,429.97 metric tons (MT) of fuel during the second quarter of 2025. The information was disclosed during an official sector visit by Luís Fernandes, head of the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP).
Diesel stood out as the most traded product, accounting for 78% of the total, followed by gasoline with 16%. According to Luís Fernandes, the cumulative sales volume during the period was about 30% higher than in the same quarter of 2024, highlighting significant growth in fuel demand in the province.
The Petroleum Derivatives sector presents several strategic investment opportunities, including the construction and operation of storage facilities and pipelines, construction and operation of gas pipelines, production plants, and the requalification of LPG cylinders and related equipment.
Likewise, there are opportunities for investment in the construction and operation of LPG filling facilities, mini-filling stations, fuel service stations, and lubricant production plants.
