ETU Energias reopened its Viana 1 fuel station in Luanda on Monday, 27 July, following an investment of approximately $3 million earmarked for the modernisation of the facility and the introduction of new customer services.
The upgraded station now offers a convenience store and a car wash service, with an electric vehicle charging point to be added shortly — underscoring the company's commitment to innovation and an improved consumer experience.
Beyond the physical upgrade, the project generated more than 50 jobs, contributing to youth employment and local economic development.
The reopening drew strong turnout from motorists and visitors eager to explore the new services immediately after the inauguration ceremony. A highlight of the event was a 'Wheel of Fortune' promotion that distributed prizes to customers, including complimentary car washes.
With the renovated Viana 1 station now operational, ETU Energias operates four fuel stations across three of Angola's provinces, reinforcing its footprint in the national market.
The ceremony was attended by ETU Energias Board Chairman Edson dos Santos, Marketing and Non-Fuel Director Jussara Nunes, other members of the company's board, and a number of strategic partners.
Speaking at the event, dos Santos underlined that fuel stations represent far more than points of sale for fuel.
"A fuel station brings more than convenience. It employs Angolans. It delivers more services to the population. We are present in Luanda and Icolo e Bengo, but our vision is to be in all 21 provinces of Angola, always very close to our customers," dos Santos told state broadcaster TPA.
The reopening of Viana 1 forms part of ETU Energias's broader expansion strategy, which aims to extend its national coverage and offer increasingly modern and sustainable solutions to meet the needs of Angolan consumers.
