Angolan renewable energy startup Nzolani Renewable has gained international recognition as the first company in Angola and across Africa to develop a hydrogen-powered generator, winning the sustainability prize at the Angotic 2025 technology forum.
Founded six years ago, Nzolani Renewable specialises in green hydrogen and sustainability technology, positioning itself as a vehicle for energy diversification and transition in Angola through innovative and sustainable technologies.
Among its core objectives, the startup aims to address global warming by harnessing green hydrogen, a fuel source directly linked to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
