Angola’s Oil Production Drops by Over 298,000 Barrels in September

In September, Angola produced a total of 31,775,907 barrels of crude oil, averaging 1,059,197 barrels per day, representing a decrease of 298,406 barrels compared to the month of August.

According to the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), associated gas production during the same period reached 71.823 billion cubic feet, averaging 2.394 billion cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), of which 1.323 billion were reinjected to maintain reservoir pressure.

Of the total gas produced, 964 million cubic feet were supplied to the Angola LNG plant, while the remaining 323 million were used for power generation at oil facilities.

The Angola LNG plant produced 5,027,076 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), exceeding the 4,377,838 barrels initially forecast — an increase of 15%, with a daily average of 167,569 barrels.

In the Cabinda Association, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production totaled 341,698 barrels, averaging 11,390 barrels per day, comprising 6,635 barrels of propane, 4,476 barrels of butane, and 279 barrels of onshore LPG.

Liftings amounted to 31,887,700 barrels, with a daily average of 1,062,923 barrels, compared to the projected 1,144,505 barrels.

Of this total, 5,298,442 barrels were lifted by the concessionaire (ANPG), representing 17% of all liftings; 2,451,806 barrels by SNL UNEP (8%); and 1,348,077 barrels by SNL E.P (4%).

Out of the total liftings, 30,657,433 barrels were exported, while 1,230,267 barrels were delivered to the Luanda Refinery.

During September, 12 drilling units were active.
