The ordinary bonds of Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI) were officially admitted to trading this Friday on the Private Bond Market (MBOP).
The operation, carried out by the Angola Debt and Stock Exchange (BODIVA), saw significant demand for the two million BAI bonds, with a coverage-to-offer ratio of approximately 211.41%, allowing the issuer to raise the total offering amount of 50 billion kwanzas.

With this operation, BODIVA notes that BAI becomes the first Angolan bank to be simultaneously admitted to both the Stock Market (MBA) and the Private Bond Market (MBOP), reinforcing its commitment to the sustainable growth of the Angolan economy.
During the ceremony, BODIVA’s Executive Board Chair, Cristina Lourenço, emphasized that this admission represents, more than a mere technical act, a clear sign of maturity in the Angolan financial ecosystem.
The executive added that BAI’s entry into the MBOP demonstrates the ability of national institutions to tap into the capital market as a structured financing source, based on high standards of transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

BODIVA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a solid, modern, and competitive market environment aligned with international best practices, as well as creating value for issuers, investors, and the Angolan economy.
The admission ceremony was attended by members of the Boards of Directors of both BODIVA and BAI.
