A barrel of Brent crude oil, the benchmark for Angola’s exports, opened this Friday trading at $67.60 on the international market, representing an appreciation of $0.62.
Prices of the so-called “black gold”, for October delivery, recorded a minimum of $66.74 and a maximum of $67.80 during Thursday’s trading session, according to the specialized website Investing.com.
The Brent price is used to determine the market value of this commodity on international exchanges. It also serves as a reference for the oil industry and for OPEC’s decisions.
Angola’s 2025 General State Budget (OGE) was prepared based on a reference price of $70 per barrel and an estimated production of 1.098 million barrels of oil per day.
According to the monthly report from the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), the country’s oil production in July reached 30,961,452 barrels, a 20% increase compared to the previous month, with a daily average of 998,757 barrels/day, against the forecast of 1,073,542 barrels/day.
