The acquisition of services for the implementation and maintenance of the Public Administration communication network infrastructure will be carried out through a simplified procurement procedure.
President João Lourenço has authorized an expenditure of 9.76 billion kwanzas (approximately USD 10.6 million) to ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Public Administration communication network infrastructure, according to Economia & Mercado.
The procurement of these services through simplified contracting, under Presidential Dispatch No. 244/26 of June 22, will allow improvements to the current functioning of systems, ensure their expansion to locations without network coverage, and enable the installation of new VSAT systems, antennas, sites, and solar power systems.
The President noted that the communication infrastructure requires intervention for preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as the installation of 90 VSAT kits, 90 antennas measuring 1.2 meters, 90 solar power systems, and continuous training for the technical support team.
The Head of State delegated authority to the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication to approve the procedural documents, as well as to verify the validity and legality of all acts carried out within the process, including the signing and execution of the contract.
