Huambo province, located on Angola’s central plateau, will be the next to benefit from Africell’s services.
In a statement published on its social media, the fourth telecommunications operator in Angola describes Huambo as a vibrant and welcoming province that is ready to become part of the big Africell family!
“We will enter with passion, innovation, and a new way of communicating. The Central Plateau will seem small for so much connection,” it emphasizes.
It is worth recalling that Africell is the only US-owned mobile network operator in Sub-Saharan Africa. The US government, through the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), is the company’s largest external investor.
Africell’s initial launch in Angola, in April 2022, opened a new chapter for the country’s telecommunications sector.
Besides Luanda province, Africell already operates in Benguela province.
