The 16th edition of the Technological Innovation Fair of the Luanda Institute of Telecommunications (FITITEL) begins this Thursday (4), under the theme “ITEL – 40 Years of Digital Transformation, Expanding Commitment to the Country.”

Running until Saturday, the 6th, the event will feature student project exhibitions from ITEL’s three courses—Computer Science and Multimedia Systems, Computer Science and Electronics, and Telecommunications—along with lectures, roundtables, mini-courses, entertainment, and other attractions.
Over three days, participants will discuss topics such as “The Role of Digital Transformation in Angola’s Economic and Social Development,” “Technological Innovation in Health Services in Angola,” and “Human Capital Development in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).”
The fair will also bring together ITEL partner companies to present technological innovations, digital solutions, and internship and career opportunities for students.
The exhibition celebrates ITEL’s 40 years of contribution to Angola’s technological and educational development, bringing together students, professionals, sector companies, and the general public.
The 15th edition, held from September 12–14, 2024, at the Luanda Institute of Telecommunications, under the theme “Fintechs as Drivers of the Digital Economy and Financial Independence,” showcased 60 innovative projects, 40 developed by ITEL students, ten by established companies in the sector, and ten by emerging startups.
Organized by the Luanda Institute of Telecommunications (ITEL) with support from the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Social Communication (MINTTICS), FITITEL aims to showcase the skills and competencies acquired by students, presenting solutions that address economic and social challenges.
Originally known as the “ITEL Fair,” the event has for over 15 years served as a platform for exhibiting academic achievements.
The fair also highlights the talent, creativity, and technical skills of students, bridging academia and the business sector with a tangible impact on society.
