Samsung’s First Triple-Folding Smartphone Is Closer Than You Think

Samsung is expected to hold an event at the end of September dedicated to unveiling its first triple-folding smartphone. However, not all interested buyers may get the chance to purchase this model.

Rumors about Samsung’s first triple foldable have been circulating for some time and, according to information from ET News, we may hear official news by the end of the month. The publication reports that Samsung is preparing a new edition of its Unpacked event to take place later this month, with the South Korean tech giant planning to launch the triple-folding device in November. Still, it is not clear whether this phone will be widely available.

In addition to a price expected to be higher than traditional smartphones, the triple foldable will likely have a limited release, reaching only South Korea and China. Samsung is reportedly planning to produce just 50,000 units of the device—significantly fewer than the 200,000 units cited in earlier estimates.

Alongside this triple foldable, the upcoming Unpacked event is also expected to serve as the official unveiling of Project Moohan. This device will reportedly mark Samsung’s entry into a new market: virtual and augmented reality glasses. Rumors suggest the event will take place on September 29.
