Nigeria’s Mansa Markets Launches Pan-African Capital Markets Intelligence Platform

Nigerian startup Mansa Markets has launched a pan-African capital markets intelligence platform that provides real-time stock market data across Africa’s major exchanges in one unified terminal.

Founded this year by Precious Okike, Mansa Markets provides full market coverage across seven exchanges — Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania and Ivory Coast — plus benchmark index data for an additional six, including Egypt and Morocco.

The platform covers live stock prices, market indices, sector performance, corporate disclosures, crypto prices in African currencies, forex rates, and data access for developers. It also publishes the Mansa Brief — a weekly pan-African capital markets newsletter covering all tracked exchanges every Saturday.

It was built on the conviction that African capital markets deserve the same quality data infrastructure that Western markets have long enjoyed.

“The platform was designed from the ground up to serve retail investors, developers and institutions across the continent with accessible, modern market intelligence,” Okike told Disupt Africa.

“African capital markets are severely underserved by accessible, modern data infrastructure. Institutional solutions like Bloomberg Terminal and Refinitiv cost thousands of dollars monthly — completely inaccessible to the retail investors, developers and smaller institutions across Africa who need this data most.”

Mansa Markets is in an active early-growth phase.

“We have built an organic audience of investors, developers and institutions across our covered markets with zero paid marketing spend,” Okike said. “Developer interest has been particularly strong. We receive consistent inbound requests for API access from developers building financial applications across Africa. We have also received early interest from institutional clients looking to integrate African market data into their own platforms and terminals.”

Currently bootstrapped and founder-funded, the startup eventually wants to provide data for all 38 African stock exchanges, and become the default data infrastructure layer for African capital markets.

“Each new exchange adds a new investor audience, a new developer community and a new institutional client pool,” said Okike. “The long-term vision is to become the authoritative data source investors, institutions and AI systems reach for when engaging with African capital markets.”
