The second edition of Digital Summit Angola (DSA) was officially launched during a press conference that brought together government representatives, companies and technology experts, according to the event organisers. The main conference is scheduled for 24–25 November 2026 at the InterContinental Hotel in Luanda, under the theme “The Year of Digital Acceleration in Angola.”
According to founder Acássio Alberto, the forum aims to position technology not as an end in itself, but as “a cross-cutting tool for the key sectors of the national economy.”
In the 2026 edition, the sectors under analysis will be Energy and Strategic Resources, Digital Infrastructure and Connectivity, Finance and Insurance, and Mobility and Logistics.
Acássio Alberto also stated that Angola has the conditions needed to establish itself as a regional technology hub. “What is discussed here deserves to be heard across the region and around the world,” he said, adding that the event will welcome international delegations, particularly from African countries.
Two institutional partners also took part in the launch conference. Willian Oliveira, Managing Director of TIS-TECH Angola, stressed that “people, processes and technology are the triad that paves the way for digital transformation in any country.” He also noted that the company will bring to the Digital Summit its perspective on how artificial intelligence can support economic growth.
Meanwhile, Sérgio Lopes, CEO of New Cognito, presented the concept of digital inclusion through three pillars: healthcare, finance and education. According to Sérgio Lopes, “the driving force behind digital transformation is not technology, but people.”
