With a strong focus on supporting the rollout of mandatory e-invoicing in Angola, Cegid has recently introduced new AI-powered management software solutions, designed for businesses of all sizes and sectors.
This initiative comes at a crucial moment, as mandatory electronic invoicing in Angola is set to begin in September this year. The new tools will help automate tasks such as inventory management, accounting reconciliation, and handling of tax documents.
“These intelligent agents were developed to increase business productivity, eliminate management data errors, support decision-making, and ultimately unlock the full potential of every company and professional,” reads a statement sent on Tuesday, June 24, to Revista Economia & Mercado (E&M).
According to the statement, these tools—already tested in European markets—have been adapted to Angola’s legal and fiscal framework, ensuring compliance with the new e-invoicing regulations while delivering immediate gains in efficiency, information control, and productivity.
Mandatory E-invoicing
Mandatory electronic invoicing in Angola will begin in September 2025 for large taxpayers, with a phased rollout to other taxpayers planned for 2026.
As noted in the document reviewed by E&M, Cegid, drawing on its extensive experience in implementing mandatory e-invoicing in countries such as Portugal and Cape Verde, positions itself as a seasoned technology partner ready to support businesses in this transition.
“Cegid is committed to being the trusted technology partner for Angolan companies at this key moment of digital transformation,” says João Soares, Territory Manager for Angola & Mozambique.
According to Cegid, the mandatory implementation of electronic invoicing presents a unique opportunity to modernize management processes and strengthen tax transparency.
It is precisely within this context that Cegid’s solutions become relevant: they are mature, tested tools that are adapted to the local context, combining innovation, simplicity, and regulatory compliance.
“We have deep knowledge of the Angolan market, a dedicated team based in Luanda, and a network of partners across all provinces, which allows us to stay close to our clients, supporting their challenges and helping them grow with confidence and security. Our commitment to Angola is long-term,” João Soares adds.
As stated in the document, Cegid aims to actively contribute to the strengthening of the country’s digital economy, empowering companies of all sizes with solutions that not only meet today’s demands but also prepare them for the future—powered by artificial intelligence and the cloud.
Empowering Transformation
To ensure the efficient adoption of these new technologies, Cegid’s training unit—Cegid Academy—will continue to play a strategic role in building local skills, the company says in a press release sent to E&M.
Through continuous training programs, Cegid ensures that its partners are well-prepared to implement and operate the latest solutions in the Cegid portfolio. It also offers training to the broader market, enabling company staff to maximize the benefits of these management tools.
“Beyond the technical aspects, Cegid Academy’s training programs promote ongoing skill development within a culture of innovation and operational excellence in the Angolan business ecosystem. This investment in local upskilling aims not only to improve business performance but also to actively contribute to the creation of qualified jobs and the country’s digital development,” the statement concludes.
