TIS has formed an innovative partnership with the Women’s Community of Technology and Information of Angola (CFTIA) to boost the inclusion of women in the tech sector. According to a press release consulted by JA Online, the initiative, part of TIS’s social responsibility framework, aims to empower young tech professionals through specialized training, internships, and support for events that promote female talent in the technology market.
“This commitment goes beyond training; the partnership ensures annual internships for young women graduates in the tech field, providing practical experience in a dynamic and challenging business environment,” the statement says.
Additionally, workshops and lectures led by TIS experts will be conducted to develop technical skills and prepare participants for the challenges of the job market.
“The program targets young women between 16 and 35 years old, from higher education and polytechnic institutions,” the document adds.
“The exclusion of women in this sector represents a loss of talent and potential for Angola. With this partnership, we reaffirm our commitment to creating real opportunities and driving inclusive digital transformation,” said Yara Mupei, TIS’s Human Capital Director, as cited in the statement.
Founded in 2018, CFTIA has been a driving force in promoting equal opportunities in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, with mentoring programs and events that empower women for digital careers.
