The “Request for Reduction of Investment Amount” now costs 1,275,000 kwanzas, according to the new fee and charges table for services provided by the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX), as established by Executive Decree No. 430/25 of June 30, obtained by E&M.
This recent cost is a result of updates carried out by the Ministry of Finance (MINFIN), under powers delegated by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to that ministerial department, concerning APIEX’s pre-investment and post-investment services.
Within these updates, the “Temporary Suspension of the Project,” as of June 22, now costs 637,500 Kz; the “Cancellation of CRIP” costs 637,500 Kz; “Amendment of CRIP” costs 701,250 Kz; “Issuance of CRIP” costs 701,250 Kz; and the “Declaration of Compliance” (from the 2nd request onwards) costs 408,000 Kz.
The “Declaration for Extension of Investor Visa” costs 408,000 Kz; the “Declaration for Extension of Work Visa” costs 204,000 Kz; and the “Declaration for Obtaining and Extension of Temporary Residence Visa” costs 204,000 Kz. The “Registration of projects regulated by special law (Article 2, item 3 of the Private Investment Law)” costs 3 million Kz.
Regarding the update of pre-investment services, according to the executive decree signed by Vera Daves de Sousa, the fixed value for project registration and assistance ranges from 2,000 USD to 160,000 USD.
MINFIN reported that the update to the fees and charges table results from recent economic developments, allowing APIEX to provide more efficient service to investors, “ensuring that investment intentions result in concrete and operational projects.”
