RECREDIT Surpasses Target for Recovery of Non-Performing Loans and Strengthens Financial Results

RECREDIT – Asset Management recovered 31.19 billion kwanzas in non-performing loans throughout 2024, a figure that represents 109% of the target set for the period.

The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Valter Barros, during the presentation of the institution’s annual performance, held on Wednesday in Luanda.

The chairman emphasized that the company maintained positive results, with a net profit of 48.52 billion kwanzas, which he attributed to the effort and coordination of the team.

In the year under review, RECREDIT invested 288.87 billion kwanzas in the acquisition of the non-performing loan portfolio from Banco de Poupança e Crédito (BPC). This amount represented 38% of the total invested so far.

Executive Director Sander Coelho revealed that the credit portfolio currently under negotiation is valued at 136.41 billion kwanzas, which is 47% of the total portfolio.

Recoveries through negotiation yielded 88.51 billion kwanzas, while signed agreements amounted to 52.75 billion. Resolved cases generated 7.49 billion kwanzas, and non-viable cases totaled 3.02 billion.

RECREDIT currently has 139 cases in litigation, of which 47 are already in judicial phase—43 in court and four under insolvency proceedings.

Board member Mirian Ferreira stated that the average annual growth rate of operating revenues between 2020 and 2024 was 126%.

The company’s assets grew by about 2% compared to 2023, while immediate liquidity stood at 12%, supported by a cash optimization strategy.

With a financial autonomy ratio of 99%, RECREDIT claims to operate with complete independence from external capital in financing its activities.
