Angola Tax Authority Extends VAT And Income Tax Deadline After Unitel Cyberattack

Angola's General Tax Administration (AGT) has extended to 7 August the deadline for all tax obligations that fell due on 31 July, citing operational disruptions caused by a cyberattack on mobile operator Unitel.

The extension was granted in recognition of the difficulties faced by many taxpayers in recent days following the cyber incident, which affected Unitel's network and hampered the ability of businesses and individuals to meet their fiscal obligations on time.

AGT spokesman António Braça said the obligations covered by the extension include Personal Income Tax (IRT) and Value Added Tax (VAT).
