The World Bank accounted for 83% of the $863.9 million recorded as aid from multilateral agencies in 2023, according to data presented by Pedro Palha, director at PWC.
Data consulted by E&M indicate that in the previous year (2022), the share of contributions from this international banking institution was 86%, equal to $880.2 million.
In 2021, the World Bank, with expenditures of $810.2 million, represented 80% of the total multilateral aid, while in 2020 it provided $131.5 million, representing 29%.
The data presented by the senior PWC official indicate that in 2019, out of a total of $845.6 million provided by multilateral agencies, the international financial institution disbursed $708 million, representing 84% of total aid in that year.
