The contract includes training for technicians in various categories, such as pilots and mechanics, and technical support in Angola is guaranteed by the company Tecner.
On Wednesday, in the city of Milan, northern Italy, the first of a group of 19 helicopters to be acquired by the Angolan state for reinforcing public security—especially in urban areas—was delivered.
The formal handover ceremony of the aircraft, manufactured by Leonardo Helicopters, was attended by the General Commissioner of the Angolan National Police (PNA), Commissioner-General Francisco Monteiro Ribas da Silva.

According to the PNA’s official portal, the contract provides for training technicians in multiple categories, including pilots and mechanics, with technical assistance in Angola ensured by Tecner.
In a statement, the Minister of the Interior, Manuel Homem, noted that the program includes 19 new rotary-wing aircraft (helicopters) equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
In a September interview with RNA, the minister added that, in addition to these acquisitions, three helicopters are currently being repaired to support surveillance operations and public security activities of the Integrated Public Security Center (CISP).
