The continued development of infrastructure and the creation of conditions to strengthen the supply of food products are among the main challenges facing the Angolan government, said President João Lourenço this Monday.
In an interview with the Public Television of Angola (TPA), the Head of the Executive Branch highlighted the business sector as a key player in overcoming these challenges, relying on the contribution of all segments of Angolan society.
“The entire society is called upon to contribute so that we can meet the fundamental needs of our population, considering that our population growth rate is high,” he stated.
He also emphasized the need for the government to continue pursuing actions aimed at diversifying the economy, making the country increasingly less dependent on oil.
The President recalled that the country currently has an acceptable growth rate of 3.5%, inflation around 22%, and unemployment at 29%.
