Moza Bank has just provided support in the rehabilitation of Mavalane General Hospital, for a greater and better capacity to care for covid-19 patients.
Moza Bank’s support will consist of sanitary ware and carpentry and electrification material, which was requested by Mavalane General Hospital, in order to have a better preparation to attend the patients with the virus.
HGM is one of the oldest in Maputo City, caring for patients in the Mavalane district and its health area, which includes all health centres in the municipal districts of KaMavota, KaMpfumo, KaMaxaquene and KaNyaka.
The Hospital Board states that “all buildings require water, carpentry and electricity renovation to restore a healthy and comfortable environment for service providers and the community in general”.
This need arises at a time when “the budget made available by the State is meagre and it is almost impossible to carry out activities related to these areas”, the hospital’s note also states.
The Chairman of Moza Banco, João Figueiredo, says that the institution he heads is committed not only to providing better services to its customers, but also to “always making a contribution at the most decisive moments in history”.
“This is the moment when all Mozambicans would like to know how to contribute. That’s why when this opportunity presented itself to us, we thought that we had to contribute to the fight against this disease that affects everyone”, explains João Figueiredo.
