The Angolan Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ) warned on Wednesday that the gambling platform called “1xbet” does not have a license or authorization to operate in the country, and that its activity poses a risk to consumers.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the ISJ emphasized that the platform operates in a “completely illegal” manner, putting its users at risk of fraud and financial loss, lacking consumer protection, and exposing them to illegal and uncontrolled content.
According to the public institution, measures have already been taken with the competent authorities to restrict access to the platform, promote the immediate blocking of all associated domains and subdomains—including “1xbet.online, 1xbet.net, 1xbet.com”—and hold those responsible accountable.
The body, overseen by the Ministry of Finance, also urges citizens to avoid using this and other gaming platforms that do not carry the operational seal or license. At least 14 companies have active licenses for operating games of chance in Angola, while six have expired licenses, according to the institution’s website.
