The performance of the first half of 2025 confirms that the Angolan diamond sector is solid and reliable, according to the National Diamond Company of Angola (Endiama), which stated that it met its targets and reinforced confidence in the national industry, despite a decline in the average price per carat after the peak recorded in 2024.

According to the company’s report, diamond production in Angola has doubled compared to 2020, supported by positive domestic performance and measures aimed at certifying reserves.
Endiama currently records 712 million carats in resources and reserves and maintains a production target of 14.8 million carats by the end of 2025.
The report emphasizes that 89% of investments during the period analyzed were directed toward production. Although the ongoing plan is being executed as expected, medium- and long-term sustainability risks remain for alluvial projects.
Regarding fiscal contributions, 71% came from kimberlites and 29% from alluvial deposits.
Endiama also reaffirms its commitment to reaching over 17 million carats per year by 2027, a goal aligned with the National Development Plan 2023–2027, and considers that the Angolan diamond sector “stands out for its broad presence and for the political, economic, and social stability that underpins it.”
In terms of employment, the sector currently employs 29,875 workers, of whom 21,363 are direct and 8,512 indirect. The company strengthens investment in human capital and communities through initiatives with social, cultural, and sports impact.
The Brilhante Foundation and Sagrada Esperança Sports Group are highlighted as tools to support social welfare and promote sports and culture, while the Sagrada Esperança Clinic provides healthcare services to over 200,000 people per year.
In the agricultural sector, the company operates through Endiagro, a promoter of sustainable agriculture. In education, it has invested over USD 70 million in the Lueji A’Nkonde University campus.
The report also highlights the role of the Professional and Business Training Center (CEFOPE), which equips mining companies and local communities with technical skills essential for sustainable economic growth.
Finally, Endiama emphasizes that the diamond sector is transforming natural resources into economic diplomacy, attracting strategic foreign investment, promoting the “Angolan Diamond” in the international market, and contributing to the diversification of the national economy.
