The Corimba Waterfront infrastructure project in Luanda is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs, and once completed, it will bring improvements in mobility, traffic flow, and housing expansion along the coastal area of the capital.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, the project’s impact also extends to urban development in the intervened and surrounding areas, offering significant social, economic, environmental, and urban benefits to Luanda province.
Once finalized, the Corimba Waterfront infrastructure is expected to have a direct positive impact on mobility and traffic, housing expansion, and job creation.
“It is anticipated that travel time between southern Luanda and the city center will be reduced, ensuring faster and safer access along the main routes to and from the city center during peak hours,” the statement reads.
The Corimba Waterfront project represents a step toward developing robust, modern, and efficient urban infrastructure that enhances health, well-being, leisure, mobility, and comfort for families while promoting an attractive business environment for both national and foreign investors.
On Friday, August 22, the construction contract signing ceremony for the Corimba Waterfront infrastructure project took place in Luanda province.
