The Minister of Transport, Ricardo D’Abreu, laid the foundation stone this Monday, the 10th, for the construction of the Industrial and Logistics Park of the Barra do Dande Free Zone, in Bengo Province.
The infrastructure, representing an investment of 1.5 billion dollars, will be built on a total area of 5,465 hectares, with the first phase occupying 860 hectares.

In its initial stage, twenty-one thousand jobs will be created, and the project is expected to have an impact on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of between 1.5% and 2% over the next ten years.
The project will focus on high value-added industries, particularly warehousing and logistics, food processing, metalworking, the automotive industry, and renewable energy.
According to the promoters, the investment marks a milestone in Angola’s industrialization policy, aligning with the Government’s vision to diversify the economy and promote sustainable development.
