The OPAIA Group will inaugurate an industrial complex for the assembly of motor vehicles next Tuesday, the 20th, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), in the province of Icolo and Bengo, in an initiative aimed at strengthening the modernization of Angolan industry and contributing to the country’s economic development.
According to a statement, the project envisages the creation of new employment opportunities, a strong focus on technological innovation and the strengthening of the national industrial value chain, in addition to boosting the transport and mobility sector.
The complex includes OPAIA MOTORS, the group’s latest business unit, dedicated to the assembly, marketing and technical assistance of motor vehicles in Angola.
According to the document, OPAIA MOTORS is being launched in the year in which Angola marks the 50th anniversary of National Independence, relaunching automobile production in the country, with a focus on sustainability, the creation of skilled jobs and addressing the current challenges of the mobility sector.
