The National Roads Administration (ANE) in Sofala needs about three hundred and ten million meticais to repair access roads damaged by floods and cyclone Eloíse.
He said that there were around seven hundred and fifty kilometres of roads, which corresponded to 32 per cent of the province’s road network that were impassable due to the natural disasters.
The provincial delegate of ANE in Sofala, António Devesse, said that emergency repair work was underway on the roads in a critical state, namely Dondo-Cheringoma, Maringue- Chemba and Machanga-Búzi.
Devesse made it known that due to the high state of degradation, on some roads only four wheel drive vehicles can circulate.
