SMEs to Receive €30 Million Financing Facility for the Purchase of Goods and Services from Spain

The financing agreement involves the Republic of Angola, represented by the Ministry of Finance (MINFIN) as the borrower, and the Fund for the Internationalization of Enterprises (FIEM) as the lender.

Angolan Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) will benefit from a financing facility worth €30 million (approximately US$34.8 million) to support the acquisition of Spanish goods and services, according to Economia & Mercado magazine.

The mechanism will result from a financing agreement between the Republic of Angola, represented by the Ministry of Finance (MINFIN) as the borrower, and the Fund for the Internationalization of Enterprises (FIEM) as the lender, as established in Presidential Order No. 202/26 of June 3.

In the document, President João Lourenço states that there is a need to secure financial resources aimed at boosting Angolan businesses and enhancing their capacity to purchase goods and services from the Kingdom of Spain.

The Minister of Finance has been granted authority, with the option to delegate further, to negotiate and sign the Financing Agreement and all related documentation on behalf of the Republic of Angola.
