President of the Republic Authorizes €30 Million Loan to Support Domestic Companies

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, has recently approved a €30 million loan from the Fund for the Internationalization of Companies (FIEM) to boost Angolan businesses.

According to Presidential Order No. 202/26 of June 3, the amount provided by FIEM will finance projects carried out by small and medium-sized enterprises for the purchase of Spanish goods and services.

The document states that the financing agreement will be concluded between the Republic of Angola, represented by the Ministry of Finance, and the Fund for the Internationalization of Companies (FIEM), for a total amount of €30,000,000 (thirty million euros).

The Minister of Finance has been delegated authority, with the power to further delegate, to negotiate and sign the financing agreement and all related documentation on behalf of the Republic of Angola.

According to the presidential order, which is already in force since its publication, the implementation of this agreement aims to strengthen the position of Angolan companies in the international market, promoting competitiveness and innovation.

It is expected that the available financial resources will be used strategically to boost key sectors of the country’s economy.
