LAR reaffirms its commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance and institutional responsibility, fostering a work environment of integrity and strict adherence to international best practices.
Lobito Atlantic Railway S.A. (LAR) held a training session specially dedicated to the Code of Ethics and Conduct and the company’s main Compliance Policies between May 15 and 16 in the city of Lobito, Benguela Province, and on May 22 and 23 in the city of Huambo.
The training, organized by LAR’s Legal and Compliance Department, took place at the company’s training center and involved around 200 employees, reflecting the company’s strategic focus on empowering its staff and consolidating an organizational culture based on solid ethical values.
LAR’s Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and lead trainer for the sessions, Nuno Chaves-Frota, emphasized the importance of this initiative.
“The foundation for employee efficiency begins with knowledge of the Code of Ethics and Conduct and the company’s regulatory framework. Continuous communication and sharing are among our obligations, and we intend to fulfill them with rigor and consistency,” he said.
According to the company, this action is part of a broader internal awareness plan that LAR is implementing, aimed at ensuring all organizational levels understand and apply the principles of business ethics and legal compliance — essential pillars for the sustainability of railway operations and for the company’s credibility in the transport sector.
LAR thus reaffirms its commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance and institutional responsibility, promoting an environment of integrity and strict observance of international best practices.
