Air France and TAP Transfer Flights to the New Airport

French carrier Air France will move to the new airport on November 30, while Portuguese airline TAP will begin transferring its operations from December 1 this year. With this, these airlines join others that have already moved flights to AIAAN, including Angolan carrier TAAG and Emirates from the United Arab Emirates.

Air France announced that, starting November 30, 2025, all its flights to and from Luanda will operate exclusively at the new António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN), the airline said in a statement.

“The new airport is located in Icolo e Bengo, approximately 42 kilometers from the center of Luanda, and features state-of-the-art infrastructure, designed according to the highest international standards,” the company explained.

Currently, Air France operates four weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Luanda, connecting Angola to its extensive global network and offering convenient connections to over 200 destinations worldwide.

TAP moves on December 1

Portuguese carrier TAP has also confirmed its move to the new airport. The airline stated that it will begin transferring its operations from December 1. On that day, the Lisbon–Luanda route will arrive at AIAAN.

On December 2, the Luanda–Lisbon flight will also depart from the new airport.

With this move, Air France and TAP join other carriers that have already shifted flights to AIAAN, including Angolan airline TAAG and Emirates.

It is worth noting that commercial flight operations at the new airport began gradually, starting with domestic routes, with Cabinda as the first destination. Meanwhile, the main airport in the capital, 4 de Fevereiro Airport, is expected to be gradually reserved for specialized services as international carriers transfer their flights to AIAAN.
