Angola and UAE Strengthen Cooperation and Discuss Middle East Tensions

Angola and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reviewed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation during a meeting held in Luanda between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the UAE Ambassador to Angola, Salem Khamis Obeid Al Shamsi.

During the audience, the diplomat conveyed a message of friendship, appreciation, and solidarity from the Government of the UAE, highlighting the interest in deepening cooperation and understanding between the two countries, according to a statement from Angola’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX).

The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the Middle East conflict, with emphasis on its impacts on regional and international stability.

Angola, in turn, reiterated its position condemning all acts of violence, especially against civilians, advocating for peaceful solutions and dialogue as the primary means for conflict resolution.

The meeting reinforces Angola’s diplomatic alignment with principles of stability, international cooperation, and peaceful dispute resolution.
