Projects linked to agriculture have been the option of youth associations in Zambézia province, which is contributing to minimize the issue of employability and ensure the increase of production and productivity in various areas.
The SUSTENTA initiative launched by the Government covered many young people in this province who, according to the President of the Provincial Youth Council, Estêvão Neves, benefited from tractors and other equipment that help galvanize production.
Still others received funding from the Fund for Supporting Youth Initiatives (FAIJ) which, in recent years, increased the amount for the implementation of the project with

Estêvão Neves said that thanks to the agricultural projects underway, many young people have left unemployment and are increasing production that can help solve the malnutrition issue that affects part of the population, especially children.
He also pointed out that the youth is betting on other areas of income such as commerce and fishing, since the province has a vast coastline that offers ample opportunities for fishing, which encourages the emergence of small businesses in this branch.
However, he recognized that the challenge of getting more funding prevails, since there are many projects that are waiting for the availability of funds for their execution.

We have other windows of opportunity on the Internet and we advise young people to join in associations so that, in the collective, it is possible to grow, as well as explore other forms of entrepreneurship in digital platforms that provide new opportunities, “he stressed.
On security and stability, Estêvão Neves said that the youth of Zambézia condemns the armed attacks carried out by the self-proclaimed Renamo Military Junta in Manica and Sofala, as well as the terrorism that ravages the province of Cabo Delgado.
The organization has been raising awareness so that the youth do not allow themselves to be deceived by these groups that only contribute to undermine the development of the country.
“As young people we cannot adhere to this agenda because it is against the development of the country and we call on adults to fund these
movements,” expressed the president of the Zambézia Provincial Youth Council.
